ABOUT US

 

La Lumiere Photography is constructed by Sara and Alberto Reyes. Our faith is immensly important to our lives. Good food, traveling and our kitty take important slots in there too. 

 

As you can see, we are a husband and wife duo tag-team. I, (Sara) am the lead photographer, as my husbands assists with the session/event.

 

I am a women who is passionate about life, and even more passionate to see it though the lens of my camera. I was formally trained at Gavilan College, and will continue training at San Jose State Universaty, and studied fine art portiraure under the wings of the amazing Jane Edberg of Egham, England. 

 

As having gotten married quite recently, I understand the amazing feeling to look back at pictures and relive the excitment you lived at that moment. For me, life becomes so vibrant, vivid, and exhilarating when peeking through the little seeing hole. Photography is a form of expression, liberation, and there is nothing like it. That is why I know how important it is to capture the natural, unexpected moment. I believe photography should not be staged. Which is why I am A HUGE fan of natural light, open space, landscapes and color.

 

Now, you might be asking "What does La Lumiere means?" It means "The Light" in French. Here at La Lumiere Photography our only desire is, in the center of a world consumed by darkness, to be a beacon of bright, glowing light, and to show it through our portraits.
